Simpler Enrollment, Broader Reach: PBS Adds Employee Navigator Integration
It’s no secret that integrated administration platforms are essential in today’s benefits landscape. The days of siloed systems, manual uploads, and disconnected enrollment workflows are quickly fading, and for good reason. When it comes to employee engagement and satisfaction, efficiency and simplicity matter.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that Pet Benefit Solutions (PBS) is now fully integrated with Employee Navigator, one of the most widely used benefits administration (Ben Admin) platforms in the country. Our new partnership underscores our mission of making pet benefits seamless, accessible and easy to administer by using the trusted systems that brokers and employers rely on every day.
In addition to Employee Navigator, PBS is also integrated with most major Ben Admin platforms, including PrismHR, PlanSource, iSolved, Benefitfocus, ADP, and more. Our experienced team continues to provide a personalized, hands-on level of support through every step of implementation and launch. Plus, ongoing dedication to successful enrollment results, year after year.
Employer groups that are new to PBS can immediately request to use Employee Navigator for benefits like Total Pet Plan, our flagship discount pet plan. For employers already offering Total Pet Plan, the Employee Navigator integration will be available starting January 2026.
A Growing Network of Integration Partners
While this integration is an important milestone, it’s also part of a larger story. PBS has long prioritized building relationships with benefits platforms and providers. “PBS is deeply committed to meeting brokers and employers where they are,” relates Rachel Ostreicher, Chief Operating Officer of PBS. “We’re focused on removing friction for brokers and HR administrators who need efficient, reliable ways to deliver pet benefits alongside core offerings.”
Adding Employee Navigator to this growing list expands PBS’s reach even further, especially at a time when integration capabilities are often make-or-break criteria during the renewal process. Employee Navigator currently supports over 75,000 companies and is on track to double its footprint following its acquisition of Ease. With this new integration, PBS helps meet rising employee demand for pet-friendly offerings without adding operational complexity.
Whether an agency works primarily through Employee Navigator or another platform, PBS ensures pet benefits can be administered as seamlessly as core benefits like medical and dental.
A Smarter Way to Deliver Pet Benefits: Saving Over 2,800 Hours a Year
As the role of voluntary benefits evolves, integrations have become a necessity rather than a nice-to-have. Brokers and HR teams are increasingly reliant on Ben Admin platforms to streamline enrollment, reduce administrative overhead, and ensure benefits are delivered accurately and efficiently.
At a midsize agency, manual enrollment changes can consume more than 2,800 hours each year. That’s the equivalent of one full-time employee focused solely on file maintenance, data updates, and error correction.
Integrations with platforms like Employee Navigator can significantly reduce that burden. For firms managing multiple groups across different systems, it creates efficiencies that quickly scale, freeing up time and resources that can be redirected toward more strategic activities such as client relationship building and proactive benefit planning.
“We’re thrilled to be integrated with Employee Navigator,” says Autumn Anthony, EDI Specialist at PBS. “Streamlining access to pet benefits makes it easier for brokers and employers to provide stress-free support for pet parents while simplifying administration.”
Higher Participation Through Simpler Enrollment
Streamlined administration is only part of the equation. Moving pet benefits into integrated enrollment systems has also been shown to improve participation rates.
Data from Employee Navigator reveals that benefits offered through integrated digital platforms consistently see higher employee adoption. This is particularly true for voluntary offerings that might otherwise be overlooked during open enrollment. When pet benefits appear alongside core benefits in the same enrollment flow, employees are more likely to opt in.
This improved visibility is important. With more than 68% of U.S. households owning pets, employees are actively looking for support with pet care expenses. Pet care coverage and discount programs are no longer fringe perks. They are increasingly considered essential components of a competitive benefits package.
When employers provide pet-friendly options as part of a comprehensive benefits strategy, it sends a clear signal that they are paying attention to what matters most to their people. For brokers, it’s an opportunity to increase overall engagement and satisfaction while keeping their offerings relevant to real employee needs.
A Broader Vision for Voluntary Benefits
As the benefits landscape continues to evolve toward automation and collaboration, PBS has emerged as an industry leader with a clear focus on innovative solutions for brokers, HR teams, and the employees they serve.
As Ms. Ostreicher puts it: “The Employee Navigator integration highlights our commitment to PBS’s broader mission: to deliver exceptional value for people and their pets. All while keeping benefits administration simple, relevant, and connected.”
